It’s been a while, but I’d love for you to meet our next featured Simple Man, Jeff H. And since it is Father’s Day month, we picked one of the best. Jeff is married and has five boys, ages 8-15. By day he is a financial advisor; on his time off (c’mon he has 5 boys – no time off, right) he likes to read, listen to records (vinyl all the way), and is into comics, gaming and Legos. He grew up in the suburbs of Chicago.

The month I finally clean my holiday-season-neglected office and catch up on TV shows.

The number 5 is no ordinary number. Wiki tells that 5 represents curiosity and adventure; the importance of number 5 runs through every culture and religion in the world; and the things associated with the number 5 range from the mundane to the bizarre!
Gratitude
In our house, fall also marks the insanity of the kids’ school, social and sports schedules. I feel like sometimes from sun-up to sun-down, it is an ever changing logistical schedule that some international corporations would be impressed with. And we only have two teens. Crazy.
Shop Vibes
A mix of indie, folk, indie-rock, Americana brand of music seems to fit the atmosphere of The Simple Man store. Soulful voices, crazy talented musicians who actually play the instruments, and lyrics that make you stop in your tracks.

We call it FUN because, well that’s simple. But I also decided to name it this because the process for how we choose these items is pretty enjoyable too.
Whiskey Feature
Now I’ve been a whiskey/bourbon guy for many years now, but I also have realized that my interest has increased since we’ve been hunkered down more. For a while, I’ll admit I felt a little guilty as I was trying new things more than I used to (aka drinking more per week), and maybe I was spending money on the good stuff more than before. But then I came to realize, a lot of us are taking this time of isolation to expand our tastes.
Let’s make it simple.
There has been a lot on our shoulders and our mind. If you are like me, the word of December 2020 is: FATIGUED.
It may not be the holiday you want, with a house filled with friends and family - parties, dancing, catered events. But that’s ok.

These are all things I’ve said to myself the past few days. And many of you, in whatever profession you’re in, be it an accountant in the 1st quarter, a football coach in the fall, or lawn care guy all summer long, you know what I’m talking about.
